Isaiah 61:1-3
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,..to comfort all who mourn,...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.”

The church today is the body of imperfect believers in the Lordship and Sovereignty of the Blessed Holy Trinity in the persons of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and in the creative, restorative, and sanctifying power of the one true Savior, Jesus Christ. We come together in and with the leading of Jesus, recognizing His headship and healing love. Living on the earth, in the valley of Decision, as a fallen race, we offer our services in a wide range of spiritual experience and function as God leads us through trial and tribulation to spiritual maturity and everlasting life, in coming alongside professional counseling personnel to provide help to the wounded within the body of Christ.
There is a great need in the church today for spiritual healing, for we exist and persist in sin and we perish for lack of knowledge. Because of the prohibitive expense in providing professional healing services, there is a parallel need for trained non-professional healing ministries within the body. Recognizing that there are non-professional, but gifted, souls among us who can help fill this need at minimal cost to the churches, our goal is to train and equip a cadre of Compassionate Caregivers who can come alongside pastors and church leaders to assist in the ministry of peer counseling and healing.
The Compassionate Care International Training Center has developed a training program for people gifted by God to do this work within the church. This special skills education is offered by the Training Center at the cost of the text and professional trainer on the provision that no caregiver shall conduct such healing or group facilitation except under the umbrella of Compassionate Care International’s covering and the individual participating church, and that only those persons certified as Caregivers under these operational and procedural guidelines shall provide such services, whether individual care, group co-facilitation, or training.
The enemy would use his influence to sabotage the best efforts of the church to carry on the healing, teaching, and harvesting ministries by utilizing the strongholds of pain and suffering to sow discord, but God calls his people to minister healing to the body and to serve as ambassadors to the world that the harvest might be gathered for Christ, who calls us to redemption.
